Field Trips
Purpose of the field trips
In PYP7-MYP5, students go on an overnight field trip as part of their social and academic learning. Each trip is designed around the learning and future learning of each class, which also includes immersion in different aspects of Danish art, language and culture, as well as develop their social skills as part of a wider class bonding goal.
Below you will find a description of some of the field trips that students participate in during their time at AIS.
Orientation week
During Orientation week in the beginning of August, MYP1-4 go away to Landal Søhøjdal. This is a 1 night bonding trip, designed to help students get back into school life after the summer holidays, and get to know their classmates a little better. This trip is especially useful for integreting new students to the school or where homeroom classes have changed. For MYP1, this is their first opportunity to get to know their new teachers as they enter the MYP.
During this trip, some students choose to cycle the 40km to Landal. Whilst there, students cook together, play outdoor games and team building activities.
Field Trip Week
During the various field trip weeks, students are on a longer 2-3 night trip with their teachers.

- Any amount that has already been paid to a third party, typically a hostel, DSB or similar.
- Any amount that is part of an overall agreement that ensures a specific price for all participants.
The school will not refund your payment if:
- Your child is still enrolled at the school, but you decide that he/she will not participate in the field trip or in other activities included in the payments.
