MYP Supervision Outside of School Hours
Morning Supervision
The school is open for MYP students from 07:30, and students may use the atrium space which is supervised every day from 07:30 to 08:00, and the library.
Afternoon Supervision
The academic school day ends at 14:45. From the end of the academic school day at 14:45 to 15:30, the school provides supervision of MYP students in the Atrium and Library, allowing students to spend time together playing games, doing homework, etc. while waiting to be picked up or go home. After this time, students who are not attending a club or music activity must leave school.
Leaving School in the Afternoon
At 15:25, a duty teacher will remind any remaining students about the rules and ask them to leave the school.
After 15:30, students are not allowed to remain in the Atrium or other areas of the school unless they are waiting for one of the school’s club activities.
Students waiting for a club will be allowed to wait until the club starts.
For students waiting for a club, the same rules apply to being on the school premises before and after 15:15, for example:
- Students may not use digital devices
- Students must not be noisy or run indoors

Clubs on Campus
Our AIS clubs on campus are designed to provide a fun, safe and enriching environment for students to explore a common interest, learn and socialize. These clubs are organized through the ASA Coordinator but run externally to ASA. Please note that each club meets only once per week.

The Music School
At AIS,we offer in-house, individual, one-to-one music tuition, provided by “Musik Til Børn Og Unge” (Music for Children and Young People). They offer a wide range of instrument lessons from guitar to piano, ukulele to voice, violin and more.

Council Run Youth Club nearby
In addition, all students in Aarhus Municipality may sign up for a municipal club program, such as Frederiksbjerg Club, which is based at our neighboring school, Frederiksbjerg School. The club is run in Danish and therefore offers a good opportunity for students to improve their Danish.
