Jon Cummins

MYP3 Homeroom & MYP Maths Teacher

Jon has a first class degree in Statistics and Mathematics and a PGCE in Mathematics, both gained in the United Kingdom. He has experience both in the British and Danish state school systems, having taught in London for the first eight years of his career and then in Fredericia for the following twelve. One of the highlights of his time in Denmark was to teach a lesson in front of the Queen during her 2008 visit to Fredericia. He has been with AIS since 2015, during which time he has also acted as an examiner for the IB. Aside from teaching Mathematics, one of his responsibilities is the planning of overseas visits for MYP2. His favourite of these was an epic journey by overnight train to Florence in 2019.
